nucleus roots - "nucleus roots" - [nucleus] - this is selling by the bucketful in france yet uk distributors are very slow to wake up to the awesome potency of the upful lyrics and extra dub power of this revelation amongst uk reggae outfits.

z starr  - "voodoo dragon rising" - [voodoo dragon records] - z is a rootsy cybergal who defies genre definitions as she swings from dark dub to feisty rock and supercharged trinidadian fuelled country vibes. this is a brilliant debut. time she was signed for real.

various - "discoteca" - [ocho] - dj martin morales shows why he gets invited world wide for dream-ticket residencies in clubs where da people want to dance big time. rare latino house/disco classics/new mixes in inimitable combinations – log onto mm guesting on my www.gaialive.co.uk  show on saturday march 31st, 4-6pm uk time (+ archived)

carlos manuel - "malo cantidad" - [palm pictures] - the word on the street is ‘dance’ with lots of double entendres. catch what  the hippest, sexiest and most politically aware cuban youth are tuned into. don’t even try to sit still, this is pure dynamite.

vincent nap - "good things come" - [first time records] - hard to believe this is vincent’s first release – after 20 magnificent years live with a strong stalwart band playing message reggae from the joyous lyrical side. rewind and come again mi selector !

3 canal - "fire next time" - [ritual music] - new soca rhythms to make the feet think as well as the head. for the club massive as well as those that want to play mas’. including bass soca mixes of talk u talk which livelied up many a summer lick

drum fm - "lest we forget" - [monumental] - my pleasure to play catch up with marque gilmore’s ‘global broadcasts’ as the moors chase their maker from bamako to brooklyn and brixton amidst the most spiritual drum’n’bass this side of heaven

jocelyn pook - "untold things" - [realworld] - sound walls of voice, viola, violin, inner rhythms and hidden meanings. this is music both for contemplation and decisive thought. a rich oasis to bask in after all that dancin’ 

antonio - "so many signs" - [charm] - fine new voice set to tour in the summer, antonio rides classic coxone dodd riddims with fresh songs that show he is a guy with not only a big and sincere heart but also a global conscience. tunes!
